Teens who 'stole trainers at gunpoint from victim' are caught after posting images of the shoes to Facebook
Two teenagers were arrested for stealing a victim's trainers at gunpoint after they shared images of themselves donning the expensive shoes on social media.
Reed Markee Deandre Williams, 19, and Davon Luckett, 17, were taken into custody in Atlanta, Georgia, US on Wednesday after police found the images of the swiped trainers on Facebook
.
The teen victim was wearing the newly released Air Jordan 6s at a school bus stop in suburban Atlanta when the older assailants allegedly pulled a gun on him and forced him to remove his pricey trainers and hand them over.
The boy obeyed immediately before the two assailants fled, leaving him barefoot and shaken.
Police say the clueless thieves then bragged about the robbery on social media and even posted pictures of their loot, leading to their arrest.
Both suspects have been charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery.
According to police, a similar crime took place last month in a nearby by restaurant, when a 15-year-old boy was set upon and beaten by a gang of thieves who stole his trainers.
The two incidents are not believed to be connected.
